I have to ask you a question... While keeping my ego in check, I am proud of my knowledge of the world. I was a history major in college, and still research on my own anything that catches my interest. Sometimes I feel I know a lot about nothing, but I don't know how ignorant people can go around their every day lives without knowing the history behind things. Even reading the news seems impossible without understand the history behind the world and its people.

Which leads me to my question... How do you guys hear about this stuff? What drives you to chase down the truth? I studied Hinduism, but I never really read up on the Aghori. I also have heard of the stories of Kali worshippers... but my question applies to all of your episodes. There are so many extreme tribes/sects that you two are able to find... how do you hear about them? How do you get to the point where you can actually meet them? I admire your motivation and dedication to all of this... it is one thing to research these extreme tribes/sects, or to even ask the local population for a more accurate viewpoint... but for you two to actually go and MEET with them... well I admire the vast amount of background research and work it must take to get to that point.

As always, I enjoy your insightful adventures into realms many of us never knew existed.

wow. this is an exceptional post.

But a question - Dhobia states that "Seven murders are forgiven. No hanging, no prison time. That’s the way of the Aghori sect." Do these men believe themselves to be above or even beyond local law? Has any sort of govt. authority ever approached these men, or are their "sacrifices" far and few...
